Introduction

 

This webquest explores the topic of the water cycle, which consists of 4 major parts: evaporation, condensation, precipitation and collection. You will find out how the process works and you will try to come up with the answers to the questions: How is the water cycle disrupted due to human interaction? What actions can we take to protect the water cycle?

 

Task

Identifying and describing different parts of the water cycle process.

Identifying human actions that can impact on the water cycle. 

Finding ideas that humans can live by in order to prevent the water cycle disruption. 

 

Process

Step 1. Go to the Mind Map button and create a mindmap. Notice: You will work with other students from your class. 

Step 2. Divide yourselves into groups of 4.

Step 3. In your group, decide who will work on evaporation, condensation, precipitation and collection. 

Step 4. Explore your part of the water cycle.

 

 

Step 4. Share your knowledge! Go to your group's board (buttons on top and at the bottom of the page) and present your part of the water cycle. You can write a note, post a film, a picture, a song etc. 

Step 5. Now when you how the water cycle works think of:
a) human activities that can disrupt the process.

b) actions that human beings should embark on in order to protect the water cycle.

Step 6. Organize a group meeting. Decide what method of protecting the water cycle would be the most effective in your region. 

Step 7. Presentation.
