Clilstore: Help

Clilstore is a store of copyleft content and language integrated teaching materials. Each word is linked automatically to online dictionaries in different languages, which enables students to cope with materials which would otherwise be a bit beyond their level.

Students: Just choose the language you are learning (and your level if you like, on the European CEFR scale A1 A2 B1 B2 C1 C2 - beginner to advanced), then click ‘Find’ and try out one of the units.

You can make progress in learning a language by listening to people speaking it, and reading what they’re saying at the same time – especially if they’re talking about something that interests you! But you don’t always know all the words they use. Clilstore helps by connecting you to online dictionaries.

In Clilstore you will find lots of “learning units” about different subjects in many different languages. In each unit there is some written text, often with an accompanying video or audio clip so you can both read and listen. And every word in the text is linked to a wide choice of dictionaries by a special program called Multidict. Multidict lets you choose the best dictionary to translate any word you don’t know into your own language – “at the click of a mouse”!

The Student Introduction showing you how to make best use of Clilstore is available in the following languages as a unit within Clilstore itself (each word linked to online dictionaries), supported by video.
