Task 1

Watch the mini biography of Mozart and decide if the following sentences are True or False. Correct the false ones.

- Mozart was born on 27 February 1756 in Salzburg. 

- He started to play the piano at the age of 5.

- He travelled through America with his sister until the age of 17.

- He composed operas, symphonies, sonatas and chamber music

-  In 1786, he premiered "The Magic Flute".

- He went through financial problems and depression

- The year before his death he composed "The Marriage of Figaro" and his final piano concerto.

Task 3

Work with the same group you had in the warm-up activity and check if the ideas you had about Mozart and his music before watching the video are correct. Complete your ideas with new information you have learnt, choose a speaker in the group and present it to the rest of the class. The groups will use the cooperative structure Round Robin in order to do this task.
